Households & Members
Your household is the central organizing unit in Frantly. It represents your home or property and contains all the information, assets, members, and activities related to it.
What is a Household?
A household can represent:
- Your primary residence
- A vacation home or second property
- A rental property you manage
- Any property you want to track and manage
Each household is separate—members of one household cannot see information from another household unless they're also members of that household.
Managing Multiple Households
If you have multiple properties, you can:
- Switch between households easily
- Keep information separate for each property
- Have different members for each household
- Set independent settings and preferences
Household Information
Each household contains:
- Basic details - Name, description, type, capacity
- Location - Address and location information (optional)
- Members - People who have access to the household
- Assets - Appliances, systems, and equipment
- Maintenance - Schedules and maintenance records
- Vendors - Service providers and contractors
- Tasks - Household tasks and to-dos
- Lists - Shopping lists and other lists
- Secrets - Secure storage for sensitive information
- Settings - Household-specific settings and preferences
Household Roles
Household members have different roles that determine what they can do:
- Owner - Full control over the household, can manage all settings and members
- Admin - Can manage most settings and content, can invite members
- Member - Can view and contribute, with limited management access
Tips
- Start with basics—you don't need to add everything at once
- Only invite people you trust with your household information
- Give people the minimum access they need
- Keep information updated as things change
